Response Ortho

The Response Ortho UniX Rail Fixator is a low-profile solution designed for multiplanar deformity correction. This external fixation system offers versatile applications, including but not limited to:

  • Limb lengthening (single-level and bi-focal)
  • Angular corrections and fusions
  • Fracture fixation
  • Derotational and angular osteotomies
  • Proximal femur reconstruction procedures

Components:

  • Rail:
    • Available in multiple lengths:
      • Pediatric: 100mm, 150mm, 250mm, and 350mm
      • Adult: 150mm, 250mm, 350mm, and 420mm
    • Available in Aluminum and Carbon Fiber*.
  • Standard Clamp:
    • Facilitates fixation of two different Compression/Distraction (C/D) units, especially useful in bi-focal cases.
    • Includes four pin slots for secure fixation.
    • Features a K-Wire hole for precise adjustment of the clamp level on the bone segment.
    • Available in Aluminum and Carbon Fiber*.
  • Angular Correction Clamp:
    • Allows up to 50° of angular correction (25° from neutral in either direction).
    • Supports incremental angular corrections with 1° adjustment per turn/click.
    • Available in Aluminum and Carbon Fiber.
  • Translation Clamp:
    • Enables up to 20mm of medial/lateral translation (10mm from neutral in either direction).
    • Particularly beneficial for extensive lengthening procedures where varus translation is common.
    • Available in Aluminum and Carbon Fiber.
  • Acute Correction Clamp:
    • Designed for acute angular corrections.
    • Features a serrated locking mechanism for enhanced stability after correction.
    • Available in Aluminum and Carbon Fiber.
  • Ring Adapters:
    • Facilitate ring-wire and/or pin fixation in multiple planes.
    • Include both straight and angular ring adapters to accommodate deformity-specific angulations.
    • The Smart Correction rings integrate ring fixation with unilateral fixation, especially beneficial in rotational bifocal femoral deformities.
  • Compression/Distraction Unit:
    • Allows for gradual compression and/or distraction.
    • Provides robust axial resistance.
    • Each full turn of the unit adjusts the bone segments by 1mm.
  • Dynamization Component:
    • Enables dynamic fixation to stimulate bone regeneration.
    • Variable micro-motion.
  • Half Pin:
    • Available in titanium and stainless steel materials.
    • Offered in 4.5mm and 6.0mm diameters.
    • Available with blunt or trocar-point tip geometry.
    • Surface options include standard polished and Hydroxyapatite (HA)-coated.

The UniX Rail Fixator is available in two different sizes, suitable for both adult and pediatric patients.
